Louisiana Immersive Technologies Enterprise

LITE was conceived as an economic development initiative to enhance the development of immersive visualization technologies and high-performance 3D computer modeling.

When constructed, the 65,000 square foot facility housed one of only six fully immersive visualization cubes in the world. It is the central focus of the design and is expressed by the 54 foot high lighted globe on Cajundome Boulevard. The 175 seat 3D auditorium was the world’s largest immersive auditorium. Two smaller interactive conference, collaboration spaces offer 3D meeting and presentation spaces for 20 – 30 people.

LITE brings together university research expertise and private industry to further the use of leading edge virtual reality technology in the development of private industry.
